We stayed just one night. Staff was helpful, breakfast very nice and easy walk to town. Would stay there again
I would stay again based on the cost and location. Pros. Close to downtown. Dressing mirror. Beautiful views of the rivers. The king room is big with a desk and side chair. Cons. Noisy AC unit. Small bathroom. Food service was not keeping up with demand. One coffee carafe, how about two? Small chafing dishes crammed in the same area as the waffle makers and toasters. I went to Bojangles a couple miles away rather wait for food and coffee to resupplied.
Naturally, after booking, I saw all the negative reviews and got nervous about staying here. My advice to people is if you want 4 star hotels, book a 4 star facility. If you want a clean, friendly, economical place to stay for a night or 2, book here. The place was far from dirty or moldy. It was actually very clean. The sheets had no stains. Yes, we check under the sheets with a flashlight for evidence of bed bugs everywhere we stay. No evidence of bed bugs at all. The AC worked well and kept us cool. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. No mold to be found. Sinks and plumbing were fine. The staff were all friendly and gave suggestions for local dinner. The breakfast lady had some bad reviews, but to be honest, she was just a quiet personality. She was extremely friendly with my interactions with her. Our overall experiences were positive. So we will definitely stay again if in the area.
Like the access to the marina: could see this as beneficial for dog owners. The beds were not as comfortable as we would expect, but not a deciding factor to return or not.
What an amazing find this hotel was! Front Desk staff was amazingly friendly and helpful- especially Khalei!!! She took special care of us in a few special requests that were noted on our reservation. As we left the next morning, she checked on us to be sure we had a great night! She truly cared and is amazing at her job! Breakfast was plentiful and... delicious!! Hotel, may not have been completely up to date, but it was clean, welcoming and we were well cared for! View of the bridge and water was a pleasant surprise from our room window. We will be back again soon! Thank you again Khalei- your care for your customers is an amazing Blessing and Comfort!
Yes, the hotel is older, but recent renovations make this place a little paradise, the grounds are well taken care of and the Marina walk is a must for dog owners, Sir Winston loved it! We definitely recommend this hotel, especially for dog owners because they are a "Dog Friendly Hotel" and the staff is very attentive to dog owners needs.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast provided multiple options from eggs to waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and muffins. The sausage patties were pretty awful but everything else was good including the coffee. The room was clean but did have a faint smell of cigarette smoke when first entering. Not bad enough to warrent getting a new room. The king bed was comfortable. The hotel was nice enough for a night or 2 but would consider a different hotel if I needed to stay longer
This is an amazing spot. Beautiful in every aspect. Service is amazing . Community is breathtaking and the rooms are super nice. Your right next to the ocean . Price of the rooms are extremely fair. The market square is just across the bridge and is awesome
